Cost of Capital Navigator Excel Add-in

The Kroll Cost of Capital Navigator Excel Add-in (“Navigator Excel Add-in”) interacts directly with users’ own Excel models and enables the user to import all the Kroll cost of capital data directly into their own spreadsheets.

The Navigator Excel Add-in is available to subscribers of the U.S. Cost of Capital Module and International Cost of Capital Module and includes the following datasets: U.S. Cost of Capital Inputs, U.S. Industry Benchmarking, International Cost of Capital Inputs, and International Industry Benchmarking. The Company-level Betas dataset is on our roadmap to add to the Navigator Excel Add-in. Subscribers can enable the Navigator Excel Add-in by going to the Microsoft Store.

Follow the below instructions on how to enable the Navigator Excel Add-in (NOTE: Users must have Microsoft Excel 2016 (Microsoft 365) or higher to access the Navigator Excel Add-in):

1. Open Microsoft Excel
2. Click “File” on the ribbon and click on "Get Add-ins" on the left navigation
3. Search "Cost of Capital"
4. Click on "Cost of Capital Navigator"
5. Click on “Add” to enable the Cost of Capital Navigator Excel Add-in
6. Click on “Cost of Capital Navigator” in your Excel ribbon
7. Click on the “Launch” icon to open the U.S. Cost of Capital Inputs dataset, U.S. Industry Benchmarking dataset, International Cost of Capital dataset, and International Industry Benchmarking dataset.
8. Click on “Login” and enter you Cost of Capital Navigator credentials. Click on “Submit”.
